It tastes fantastic, it completely quenches thirst, and, contrary to popular belief, it provides a pleasant burst of caffeine, which efficiently puts you back on your feet and ready for action after a long day at work. Most fruits blend and compliment one another, resulting in a wide variety of visually intriguing compositions. You may use seasonal fruits that are available locally, but exotic fruits will also work well. In this case, orange, lime, or lemon slices and a squeeze of juice from these citrus fruits can enhance the citrus aftertaste of your coffee tremendously.

It is preferable to add fruits to a glass of freshly brewed coffee shortly before serving, gently pressing them into the coffee to release more of their aromatic properties.

As an alternative, it’s worth trying with simply the zest, which may be added early in the maceration process.

Allow 12-15 hours for this coffee to brew on your kitchen counter. Use a fine mesh strainer or a nut milk bag to strain the coffee. Remove from the heat and pour into a clean mason jar or other container; chill for at least two hours. Alternatively, serve the cold brew coffee over ice with your preferred milk or creamer.

Tips for Making Cold Brew Coffee

  • Make your beans into a medium coarse consistency by grinding them. Finely ground coffee beans, such as those used for drip coffee, are not appropriate for this use. Thiscoffee grinder comes highly recommended by me if you’re in the market for one. You’ll use a 4:1 ratio for your brewing. For every cup of coffee beans, four glasses of water are needed. If you want to make additional cold brew, simply double the recipe. And if you’re using an amason jar (as I am in the video), you’ll need to use a little less water to get it to fit – 3 cups water to 3/4 cup coffee beans – to make it work. Just make sure that the ratio remains steady. You may steep the coffee in just about any container you like (though I recommend glass). Although I prefer to use a mason jar, a French pressor would also work well. KitchenAid even has a cool cold brew maker that is worth checking out. Use filtered water to make the purest cup of cold brew possible. Steep for at least 12 hours before serving. Following that, you may experiment with other flavors. If you like a stronger cup, brew it for a longer period of time – up to 24 hours. However, I have found that most coffee enthusiasts are content with a 12- to 15-hour supply. Keep in mind that while the cold brew can steep on your countertop at room temperature, once it has been strained, you should store the concentrate in the refrigerator. As previously said, it should be served with ice, water, or any form of milk or creamer.

  • Prepare the tea by steeping it for at least twelve hours.
  • – You may brew it for as long as you like if you want a stronger cup of tea.
  • While the cold brew can steep on your countertop at room temperature, once you’ve strained it, store the concentrate in the refrigerator.
  • Using ice, water, or a type of milk or creamer, as previously stated, prepare the drink.

How Long Will it Last?

The cold brew coffee concentrate will keep for about a week in the refrigerator.

However, the flavor is finest if consumed during the first week. You may continue for a bit longer.
