How to do a coffee enema
Have you ever heard of anything called a coffee enema? It wasn’t until a few years back that I discovered it. It is not necessary to consume coffee in order to get the advantages of it. Coffee enemas are an excellent technique to detoxify the body. They were included in the Merck Manual as a scientific technique for detoxification and as a pain reliever until it was removed in the 1970s because to concerns about their safety. In this post, I’m going to walk you through the process of performing a Coffee Enema.
I came across some material regarding coffee enemas a few years ago and was intrigued.
I spent what seemed like hundreds of hours studying natural cancer cures and treatments for my mother.
Among the protocols that piqued my curiosity was the Gerson Therapy regimen.
As you will see in this piece, coffee enemas are an excellent tool for detoxifying the liver, eliminating germs from the body, and flushing out yeast and heavy metals.
What is a coffee enema?
A coffee enema is, in fact, exactly what you are thinking it is. A specific sort of coffee and water are inserted into your colon as a way of detoxification, and the combination is then removed. Caffeine is absorbed via the hemorrhoid vein, which then transports the caffeine to the liver and gallbladder after being ingested by the colon. It is estimated that at least 5 times throughout the time you are holding a coffee enema in the colon, all of the blood will travel through the liver. This enables the enema to eliminate toxins that have accumulated in the liver as a result of the diet.
Keep in mind that coffee enemas are not a new concept, having been around since the late 1800s or maybe earlier.
After nearly 17 years of dealing with severe dermatitis on my legs, which caused my skin to split open and bleed as a result of my scratching them so much, I finally found relief. It would itch so badly that it felt like bugs were crawling beneath my skin. I would try not to touch them throughout the day, but if I couldn’t control myself during the day, I would scratch them during the night when I was sleeping, resulting in blood and scabs. Every winter, this would continue for years, and by the summer, they would have cleared up.
My legs came out in a nasty rash that lasted for approximately a year and a half straight, and it was horrific!
I began preparing my own moisturizer with manuka honey and frankincense, which proved to be really beneficial, and I began taking coffee enemas once a week. My legs gradually began to improve, and I haven’t had an eruption since the beginning of 2019!
What are the benefits of doing a coffee enema?
Why would you go to such lengths? There are a variety of causes behind this. Let’s have a look at some of the advantages of doing coffee enemas.
- Coffee boosts the production of glutathione, an enzyme in the liver that aids in the removal of free radicals from the circulation. This also has anti-inflammatory properties and functions as a natural blood cleanser. It aids in the removal of fungus, yeast, and bacteria from the body. Cancer, overdosing, constipation, and IBS are among conditions for which they have been utilized
- They have also been used to treat liver malfunction and digestive issues. They are also beneficial in the treatment of parasites and candida. Removes poisons from the body that have accumulated in the liver
- Opens up the bile ducts and stimulates the production of bile, which is necessary for normal digestion. Aids in the treatment of weariness and depression. Natural cancer therapy is well-known in this area.

What does a coffee enema do?
For many who rely on caffeine to get them through the day, a cup of coffee in the morning is an absolute necessity. The consumption of a cup of coffee in the morning, on the other hand, leads many individuals to physically “go” to the toilet and pass gas. Those who use coffee enemas to clear their intestines are operating on the same principles as those who do not. Using coffee enemas is a complementary medicine treatment that does not have a large amount of scientific evidence to support its use.
- In rare cases, coffee enemas may be a viable choice for those who need to treat constipation or prepare for an operation; nevertheless, doctors do not normally suggest them.
- Constipation may be extremely unpleasant and hazardous, and it can even result in a tiny bowel obstruction or even a hole in the gut if it persists for an extended period of time.
- Water, mineral oil, or water with a tiny bit of soap added to it are the most widely used cleaning agents.
- Even while coffee enemas are said to offer several health benefits, they can be quite harmful if administered incorrectly or too frequently.
- According to some reports, a chemical found in coffee called cafestol palmitate stimulates the activity of an enzyme known as glutathione S-transferase, which helps to open the bile duct in the liver.
- Aside from theobromine and caffeine, three additional components of coffee are thought to enlarge blood vessels and the bile duct even more, which increases the flow of bile in the body.
- In 2014, a research published in Clinical Nutrition Research looked into the use of coffee enemas in preparation for video capsuleendoscopy, which lets a doctor to see inside the gut’s inner workings.
The 34 participants in the study were separated into two groups by the researchers.
When it came to the visibility of the initial segment of the small bowel, the researchers discovered that there was no difference between the two study groups.
An report published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology described a case of inflammation of the colon and rectum in a Korean woman who had taken coffee enemas for a long period of time.
She chilled the water and used the combination as an enema to get rid of the toxins.
The authors noted out that coffee enemas have also been linked to recorded cases of mortality due to electrolyte imbalances, as well as bacterial infection following repeated coffee enemas, among other complications.
There is a great deal of contradicting research on the subject of coffee enemas.
If you experience periodic constipation, there are commercially made enemas that you may use.
Before undertaking a coffee enema, people should always consult with a doctor to verify that they do not have any health issues that might prevent them from effectively doing the procedure.
However, hot coffee will burn, which may be extremely harmful to fragile rectal tissue. Liquids at room temperature do not burn, however hot coffee does. A coffee enema can be performed by following the instructions outlined below.
- Prepare a 1-liter combination of distilled water and 2 teaspoons of coffee by steeping the coffee in the water for 1 minute. It is possible to make the coffee in a standard coffee machine, which will yield around 4 cups of 8-ounce coffee. Amount of grounds in the coffee should not be present
- Allow enough time for the coffee mixture to settle down to room temperature before serving. Never use hot or even warm water for the enema
- Instead, use warm water. Place towels on a bed, couch, or other space where the individual may lie down on their left side to allow the water to infiltrate their body. Being close to the restroom will be beneficial since the individual may use the restroom on an emergency basis. An enema method should be used to provide the coffee mixture to the rectum. These are frequently available for purchase at local pharmacies. They are usually equipped with a plastic water bottle with tubing attached, which they inject into their rectum. It is possible that a person will want to apply a water-based lubricant on the edge of the tip to make insertion easier
- Inject as much of the 1-liter coffee/water mix into the rectum as you possibly can at this time. It is possible that the full solution will not be absorbed, and it should not be pushed into the rectum
- The solution should be retained in the rectum for 10 to 15 minutes. When enemas are retained for this period of time, they are most effective. Following the enema, a person should make an effort to go to the toilet
- If they do not see substantial effects from the initial enema, they may need to repeat it a few hours later.
Risks and considerations
Escalating the frequency with which one does an enema operation is vital since doing so might result in the loss of a substantial number of electrolytes, which are necessary for maintaining fluid equilibrium in the body. Prolonged diarrhea as a result of frequent enemas can potentially result in dangerous electrolyte imbalances, and anybody who experiences this should seek medical assistance immediately. Given the limited amount of information available on the possible long-term advantages and hazards associated with a coffee enema, many doctors are reluctant to suggest it.
- Because there are other possibilities in terms of enema components, such as plain water or soap-suds enemas, they may be the preferable option for occasional constipation due to the availability of other options.
- If a person is having difficulties going to the toilet on a regular basis, it is critical that they get medical treatment to discover if an underlying medical problem exists that might be addressed with medication.
- His theories are still alive and well today thanks to the Gerson Institute, which is committed to furthering his medical research.
- Gerson saw coffee enemas as a method of purifying the body of “poisons” that resided in the tissues and organs of the patient.
- Increased energy cell generation
- Improved tissue health
- Increased blood circulation
- Improved immunity
- Increased cell development
As part of Gerson therapy, in addition to coffee enemas, patients must consume a diet that is high in potassium and low in salt. Dr. Gerson felt that by repairing tissue damage, a nutritional approach may help to mend damaged cells and, in certain cases, even battle malignant cells in the body. Most physicians and naturopaths will advise individuals against experimenting with coffee enemas. Enemas purchased over-the-counter are a safer alternative. Coffee enemas are being researched for their potential use as an alternative cancer therapy for some forms of cancer.
Complementary and alternative treatments should always be discussed with a doctor before beginning a course of treatment. Some of these therapies may interfere with the treatment regimens prescribed by a doctor.
Coffee Enema: Benefits, Risks, and More
What is a coffee enema, and how does it work? A coffee enema is a sort of colon cleansing that is commonly used in complementary and alternative medicine. It is necessary to do the process in order to enter a mixture of freshly brewed, caffeinated coffee, and water into the colon through the rectum. Coffee enemas may have begun in the early 1900s as a cancer therapy by German physicians on the lookout for a new remedy. However, it was the Gerson therapy that was responsible for putting the operation on the map.
- The Gerson treatment was named after him because of his strict regimen.
- That seems promising, doesn’t it?
- Before attempting a coffee enema, there are a few things you should be aware of.
- If you’re suffering from constipation, a coffee enema may be able to provide relief.
- Boosts immunity, increases energy, prevents yeast overgrowth, treats autoimmune illnesses, eliminates parasites from the digestive tract, removes heavy metals from the body, cures depression, treats cancer, and so on.
There is no scientific evidence to support or refute the claim that coffee enemas are beneficial in the treatment of any medical problem. The majority of the evidence for or against the use of coffee enemas is anecdotal in nature. Traditional medicine does not believe that colon cleaning is essential because your body’s digestive system is capable of eliminating waste, poisons, and germs on its own. Autointoxication is the term used to describe the belief that intestinal waste is toxic to the body.
- Take a look at: The Master Cleanse Diet (also known as the Lemon Detox Diet) There are no clear medical rules governing who should have a coffee enema or when they should do so.
- Isaacs, M.D., individuals are constantly exposed to hazardous chemicals and pollutants in their food, air, and water, and this exposure is increasing.
- Coffee enemas may be used as an alternative to stimulant laxatives to prepare the bowel for a video capsule endoscopy instead of laxatives that stimulate the bowel.
- More research, however, is required before coffee enemas may be widely prescribed for bowel preparation.
- As revealed by the National Cancer Institute, three deaths that have been recorded in the literature appear to be associated to coffee enemas (also known as coffee enemas).
- The electrolyte imbalance was the cause of two other fatalities.
- The writers of the letter came to the conclusion that coffee enemas are dangerous and should be examined as an alternate therapeutic option.
If you have a caffeine sensitivity or are taking drugs that interact with caffeine, coffee enemas may be an issue for you to use. Colon cleaning may also result in the following side effects:
- Reproductive tract burns, nausea and vomiting, cramps and bloating
- Intestinal perforation
- Infections brought on by inadequately sterilized equipment
A coffee enema can be conducted at home or, for a high charge, at some holistic health centers that specialize in detoxification. When it comes to doing a coffee enema, there aren’t any specific guidelines to follow. If you decide to get a coffee enema, you may experience cramps, pressure, and fullness while the treatment is being performed. It is possible that caffeine will cause you to feel unsteady or have heart palpitations as a side effect. You should drink lots of water afterward to avoid being dehydrated as a result of the exercise.
- Several studies have found that coffee enemas increase overall health and well-being without causing detrimental side effects.
- What is known for certain is that coffee enemas have the potential to be hazardous.
- You should seek immediate medical attention if you opt to undergo a coffee enema and have any major adverse effects.

What is a Coffee Enema and How to Do One
18th of January, 2011: UR Healing Written by Neka Pasquale, Founder of Urban Remedy, with permission. Enemas have been used for centuries in traditional medicine to address a wide range of health problems. The coffee enema is generally used to cleanse the colon, liver, and gallbladder, among other things.
- Foundation Formula: 12 quart (about 16 oz or 2 cups) pure water (not tap water) for heating
- 12 quart purified water (not tap water) for chilling the heated water
- 12 quart purified water (not tap water) for mixing
- 2 tablespoons organic coffee (whole coffee beans)
- 2 teaspoons organic sugar Other necessary items include: an enema bag or a bucket
- (Avoid petroleum jellies such as KY or Vaseline
- Instead, use a few drops of olive oil or sesame oil to lubricate the insertion of the tube into the rectum.) (to be used when kneeling or laying down on the floor)
- Old towels Use of excellent towels is discouraged since any coffee spills may result in permanent stains
- Prepare the coffee beans by freshly grinding them into a fine powder. This should not be done ahead of time since you want the coffee to include the freshest and most active phytonutrients possible. It is not recommended to utilize pre-ground coffee beans that have been partially oxidized. To make the coffee, combine 12 quarts of water with the freshly ground coffee bean powder and bring to a simmer (little, rolling bubbles) for about 5 minutes. Leave it for 5 minutes after which you can add the Quantum Immune Complex and any additional capsules you choose to use by dumping them into the hot water. Allow for 5 to 10 minutes of uncovered resting time. The soak time aids in the release of phytonutrients into the water, which is beneficial. Make sure to sift the coffee-herbal combination through a tiny metal strainer to get rid of any big particles that could get stuck in the enema tube. (Alternatively, you can strain the liquid into a separate bowl, taking care not to strain away the dregs from the bottom.) Add about 12 quarts of cold or room-temperature water to the hot coffee-herbal liquid mixture, then pour into the enema bag to absorb the caffeine. The objective is to chill the hot coffee combination to a warm temperature before injecting the fluid into the rectum so that it is not too hot when it is inserted. The finished combination should be warm to the touch (not too hot nor too cold) — around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature is too high, it might cause harm to the anus or intestines, while if it is too low, it could induce cramping in the intestines and a reduction in the amount of hazardous waste eliminated. Take the enema, for example, since being too chilly is preferable to being too hot. Although it is not required, taking an enema after a bowel movement is a good time to consider doing so. Be aware that coffee stains, therefore you may want to wear old clothes and use old towels or paper towels to avoid staining your clothes. Small amounts of oil (such as olive oil) should be applied topically to the anal region. An appropriate posture to do the enema is on a rug on the floor (near a toilet), on your knees, with your head close to the floor, as shown in the photo. The enema bag should be suspended on a towel rack or shower curtain pole to prevent it from being tangled. It is required to elevate the liquid in order to create sufficient pressure for the fluid to pass into the colon. While resting one hand on the floor, slowly push the enema nozzle into the rectum with the other hand while leaning one hand on the floor. Make certain that the nozzle is fully inserted. Make sure your head is close to the ground so that gravity can assist the fluid in its descent towards the colon. As you slowly unfasten the hose clip, the liquid will begin to flow into your colon. Frequently, you will get the sensation of warm liquid draining into your intestines from somewhere. If the flow appears to be moving too quickly, close the hose clamp and wait a minute or two before opening the clamp again. Try to get roughly half of the liquid (around 12 liters) into your intestines and hold it there for 10 minutes before expelling it. For the next ten minutes, you can either close the clamp and withdraw the nozzle from the rectum, or you can rest on your right side with your legs and pelvis raised on a cushion if that is more comfortable for you. If you like, you can lie down in a bathtub during this period to make cleanup easier.) This is an excellent time to spend reading. After 10 minutes, eliminate the fluid from your body. Afterwards, add in the second 12 pint and continue to hold for another 10 minutes. After that, eject. You’ve completed your task! Sometimes, if there is some fecal matter in the lower tract of the rectal tract, you may only need to take in 1/8 or 14% of the liquid – just enough to expel the fecal matter in the lower tract of the rectal tract (in this case, it is not necessary to hold the liquid for any period of time). Once this is accomplished, mentally split the leftover liquid in half and hold each half for 10 minutes to give ample soaking time to remove hardened fecal material, infectious organisms, various poisons, and other contaminants from the lower rectal tract. Immediately expel the liquid if you have a strong want to do so, even if it is just after a minute or two. Do not resist – expel the liquid immediately. It may be difficult at first to keep the drink in your mouth for the whole 10 minutes (or even a few minutes). In the future, after multiple enemas (and, consequently, a certain amount of toxic elimination), it will be much simpler for the intestines to retain the liquid for the whole 10 minutes. The best time to get an enema is during the day, before 8 p.m. After the enema, give yourself some time to recuperate (20 to 30 minutes). Keep yourself at home or in close proximity to a toilet for approximately 12 hours following your enema. This helps to guarantee that you will be close to a toilet in the event that a tiny bit of enema liquid has to be evacuated that was not previously expelled. When the enema liquid reaches a higher level in the colon system, it may take longer for it to reach the lower bowel, which can be frustrating. Do not be startled if you have to evacuate a tiny bit of liquid again
- This is normal.
In regards to nausea experienced during the Enema You may suffer nausea during or after your first few enemas, which will subside after a few sessions. This is frequently caused by the expulsion of internal sluggish, putrefied poisons from the body. Keep on with your coffee enemas in spite of the fact that your stomach may be hurting. The majority of people report that the nausea subsides after a short period of time. If you do have nausea as a result of the enema, you may wish to drink a cup of warm tea afterward (such as green tea or hyssop tea).
The colon (and its link with the liver and gallbladder) of a typical American adult includes large quantities of toxic, stagnant waste due to the state of the colon’s health.
When you’ve finished with this series, we recommend that you do one maintenance coffee enema every 60 days.

Whenever I talk about or write about coffee enemas, the most often asked (practical, how-to) question is: “How do I prepare the coffee enema?” In addition, the second question is: “How much coffee do I consume?” If you’re not acquainted with coffee enemas, I published an in-depth article on them and their advantages here: Coffee Enemas: How I Take My Coffee (Part 1).
If you care about your health but would like to obtain health advantages from something other than shoving coffee up your arse, please proceed to the next page and click away.
I won’t be insulted, and we can continue to be friends despite this. I’ll make good on my commitment. In contrast, if you’re seeking for actual answers from a real, living person who has a lot of coffee enema experience, you’ve come to the perfect spot.
1 How Do I Prepare A Coffee Enema?
Preparing a coffee enema is not the same as doing brain surgery, therefore there is no need to be very exact and scientific. It is necessary to have some basic goods on hand before you can begin, though. These are the items you will need:
- Caffeinated coffee that is organically grown
- Clean spring water that has been filtered, distilled, or otherwise purified – do not use tap water without first boiling it
- A pot in which to boil water – stainless steel or glass are my preferred choices
- I used a Pyrex measuring cup and a fine mesh sieve. I also used an enema kit, which after testing three different ones, I found to be the most effective of them all.
How To Prepare A Coffee Enema
To begin, if you’re using whole bean coffee, ground the beans. A coarse to medium grind is OK. If you grind your coffee too finely, the grounds will flow through the sieve and into your enema, causing it to be contaminated with coffee grounds. However, I prefer an enema that is devoid of ground particles. It’s best for me to grind everything in a bag at once and put it in a canister in my refrigerator to keep it as fresh as possible. To make the coffee, bring a pot of water to a boil, add the necessary amount of coffee, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Once the water has reached the proper temperature, you’re ready to perform your enema!
This is due to the fact that you have complete control over the water to coffee ratio.
2 How Much Coffee Do I Use?
The amount of coffee you use may vary depending on a variety of things, so I can’t tell you how much to use in advance. In the case of a first-timer, you’ll want to start with less coffee, maybe as little as a teaspoon of ground coffee. Because coffee enemas are very detoxifying, starting with less coffee will allow you to detox more gradually. For example, if you start with three tablespoons of coffee to four glasses of water on the first shot, you’re likely to suffer severe detox symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, as well as hives.
Inquire as to how I know this.
If You’re A Newbie…
For those who are new to the coffee enema or who are particularly sensitive to caffeine, the following is what I would recommend:
- Prepare the coffee by bringing 2 cups of water to a boil, reducing the heat, and adding 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee
- Cook for 10 minutes on low heat. Using a strainer, pour in enough cold water to make 4 cups (1 quart). Continue with the enema by putting half (2 cups) of your liquid into the enema bag and keeping the enema bag in place for 10 to 15 minutes. Take note of how you feel once you’ve eliminated this.
For about 10 minutes after doing a coffee enema for the first time, I had a severe wave of nausea and felt cold and clammy. This was due to the massive number of toxins my body was removing all at once – coffee enemas are quite effective at clearing toxins! Over time, you can increase the amount of coffee you use in your mix or utilize the entire quart of water in the enema instead of just 2 cups. Simply take it gently and pay attention to how you are feeling during the process. I’ve experienced some severe detox responses on a couple of occasions, but I’ve also been doing coffee enemas under the supervision and instruction of my doctor.
No matter how skilled you grow at doing coffee enemas, never use more than 2 teaspoons of coffee per quart of water in your coffee enemas. For the past two and a half years, I’ve been doing coffee enemas, so I’d consider myself to be somewhat of an expert in the field.
My Coffee Enema Recipe
Bring one quart of water to a boil, lower the heat, add three teaspoons of coffee, and simmer for ten minutes. Pour half of the coffee concentrate into a Pyrex 1-quart glass and top it off with cold water to make 1 quart total. Make certain that it is not too heated. If you can’t comfortably hold your finger in the coffee enema mixture, it’s too hot to go up your bum. If you can’t comfortably hold your finger in the coffee enema mixture, it’s too cold to go up your bum. Using this initial quart of 2 cups coffee and 2 cups water, fill the enema bag halfway.
Keep the timer running for 10 minutes and then turn it off.
You may do the math on this yourself, but I use 3 teaspoons of coffee to 2 quarts of water when making coffee.
I am extremely sensitive to caffeine and haven’t had a cup of coffee in over five years, but the coffee enemas haven’t made me jittery or insane.
9 Tips for Coffee Enema Success
1 — Perform your coffee enema after you’ve consumed a protein-rich snack or meal. 2 — The ideal time of day for me is soon after lunch, around 1:00 p.m., because that is when I am most productive. 2 — The temperature of your enema liquid should be between 68 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature is too high, you run the danger of burning yourself or the interior of your colon. Ouch. If the water is too cold, it might be difficult to retain and may even induce cramps. Is the coffee and water mixture too hot to drink?
- 3 — Drain the enema hose completely of all air.
- The lines will be completely clear, and you will not experience an unpleasant air bubble.
- After passing through the transverse colon (on your left side), the coffee travels to the portal vein of the liver/gallbladder (on the right side).
- Cramping is nearly always caused by gas that has accumulated in the large intestine or by air that has entered through the enema tube.
- As an alternative, shutting your eyes and taking some deep breaths may be really beneficial in calming the cravings to go before your 10 minutes are up — as well as in getting through waves of nausea that may occur (because they sometimes happen).
- Simply get out of bed and go!
- This is excellent!
7 — Make yourself comfy!
During my coffee enema, I prefer to read a book or watch Netflix on my iPad while I’m doing it.
It is entirely up to you how you choose to spend your 15-60 minutes!
If I stated that leaks never happened, I’d be lying to my readers.
Some people enjoy taking a bath in their bathtubs.
Just make sure you’re close to a toilet! Drink lots of water after your enema and have a small lunch to keep your energy levels up. Adding a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon juice to your water can help you detoxify even further while also keeping your electrolytes in balance.

Your time on the bathroom floor will likely last somewhere between 45 and 60 minutes if everything goes according to plan. For the duration of my coffee enema, I like to read a book or stream Netflix on my iPad. You could want to relax and take in the silence, listen to an audio book, or meditate. There are no rules about how to spend your 15-60 minutes! When leaks occur, place an old towel beneath yourself to prevent further damage. I’d be lying if I stated that leaks never happen. Preparation is key, so put a cloth beneath yourself. Some people like taking a bath in their tub. However, it is not pleasant for me because I am most comfortable when my right side is completely flat. Make sure you’re near a restroom. 9 — After your enema, drink plenty of water and consume another small food. How to Perform a Coffee Enema
Warning: The material contained in the following piece is intended solely for informative reasons and is not intended to be taken as medical advice. Some medical authorities believe this to be a potentially harmful operation, and INeedCoffee.com does not recommend it. The use of coffee in enemas for the purpose of detoxifying is extensively documented. It is a common herbological therapy that has been recommended by holistic and alternative health practitioners for many years, and it is a good example of this.
Why Coffee Enema Cleansing Works
The effects of a coffee enema are different from the effects of a saline enema, for example. It is the presence of caffeine in the coffee enema that is the most significant distinction between it and a regular saline enema. Saline enema It is believed that caffeinated beverages such as coffee and tea, as well as theophylline and theobromine, cause smooth muscle relaxation and dilation of blood vessels and bile ducts. The results of a coffee enema are not the same as the effects of drinking a cup of coffee.
As a result, caffeine is absorbed more quickly (and in higher concentration) when consumed in this manner than when consumed in coffee.
Benefits of Enemas and Colonics with Coffee
Escitalopram and colonic irrigation have been used for hundreds of years and are generally considered safe. Additionally, the chemical constitution of coffee cleaning enemas is stimulant in nature. The enzymes in coffee, known as palmitates, assist the liver in eliminating the toxins found in bile acid by transporting them to the colon. The coffee is absorbed into the hemorrhoidal vein and then transported up to the liver through the portal vein to be processed. When the bile ducts are dilated, bile is able to transport toxins away from the liver and into the gastrointestinal system.
In this way, when you have a colonic evacuation, the toxins and bile are taken away from your body.
Enema and Colonic Supplies and kits
- You’ll need to purchase a reusable enema kit for this procedure. Enema products are available at most pharmacies and can be purchased online. The water should be lukewarm or chilly, but not hot, when you place your finger in it In order to get the coffee grounds to settle at the bottom, you must pour the coffee liquid into an enema bag first. Never use flavored coffee, sweetened coffee, or coffee with milk (cafe au lait) for this purpose
- Instead, use decaffeinated coffee.
Using coffee in a colonic, enema, or suppository will result in cleaning as well as a greater feeling of overall wellbeing, enjoyment, and the elimination of toxins.
Colonic hydrotherapy providers may make a coffee colonic as part of their service. Make sure to discuss your colonic hydrotherapy session with your professional colonic hydrotherapist in advance so that he or she can purchase and prepare the organic coffee in advance. Keep in mind that the coffee will be added as an addition to the colonic equipment and will thus be diluted down and passed down the colon more quickly than if you were doing an at-home enema; this is perfectly normal and recommended.
It is possible to obtain temporary weight reduction and relief from constipation by doing Colonic Irrigation (also known as a high enema) with the addition of coffee.
Directions and Coffee Enema Procedures
- Ensure that you utilize an at-home enema or colonic kit that contains a bag that is strong enough to hold lukewarm coffee. To avoid settling of the coffee oils, make sure that there are no grounds in your enema bag or your enema hose. Also avoid kinking up your enema hose, as this will result in the settling of the coffee oils. Follow the instructions that come with the enema kit to the letter. Try to keep the coffee under control for 10-15 minutes while lying on your right side. I recommend lightly massaging your abdomen from left to right (up the left side, then left to right just below the navel)
- Additionally, I recommend changing positions while trying to keep the coffee under control. Then, after a few minutes, change over onto your back and, after another few minutes, transfer to your left side before passing gas

Unfounded Coffee Enema Concerns and Supposed Dangers
Many individuals are afraid that the body will grow hooked to the enema cleaning process, and that the regular use of coffee enemas may lead to constipation as a result of this. This is an unjustified concern. After the use of enemas has been ceased, the bowels will continue to operate on their own. Even after you have completed the coffee enema, your intestines should continue to function normally for a few days, provided that you are eating a balanced diet with enough fiber consumption. Because of this, it should not be required to use coffee enemas or coffee colonics more than once a week.

Coffee Enema Protocol
A water enema was developed during World War I when German medical resources, especially morphine, were few and nurses were anxious to discover methods to alleviate the post-surgery suffering of badly injured troops. Water enemas were commonly administered, but one enterprising nurse was impatient to find a more strong pain reliever and came up with the brilliant idea of using leftover brewed coffee, which proved to be quite effective. Following reports of coffee’s analgesic capabilities, two German researchers decided to investigate the components of coffee that were responsible for these effects.
Patients with cancer, Gerson discovered, did not die as a result of the disease process itself, but rather as a result of the liver’s inability to detoxify and process the barrage of dissolving tumor masses and other metabolic toxins released in large quantities as a result of his nutritional therapy.
In order to encourage the ongoing discharge of toxins from the body, his patients learnt to give the enemas themselves as much as four times daily.
Additionally, the coffee enema is a highly successful way of illness prevention and health maintenance, in addition to its applications in the areas of pain relief, therapy and detoxification.
According to the Gerson Therapy, caffeine and palmitates (chemicals found in coffee) operate in synergy to stimulate and cleanse the liver and circulation.
Caffeine exposure causes the liver’s portal veins and bile ducts to widen, resulting in an increase in the flow of diluted toxic bile from the liver.
Palmitates in coffee stimulate and boost the synthesis of a liver enzyme known as glutathione-S-transferase (GST), which eliminates free radicals and cancer cells from the circulation and aids in the detoxification of the liver.
As a result of the enema, the liver becomes less clogged with debris, allowing for the filtering of even more body toxins to take place throughout the cleansing process.
The enema is effectively a sort of blood dialysis (filtering) via the colon wall since the blood serum is detoxified as it goes past the caffeinated liver.
In accordance with the Gerson Therapy, the enema coffee is prepared by combining three tablespoons of drip-grind (organic) coffee with one quart of boiling distilled water and allowing it to steep for 15 minutes.
Hot water is introduced to replace the water that was lost during the boiling process.
The user should have a comfortable area to lie down while the enema is being administered to him or her.
In order to prevent systemic absorption of caffeine, the enema bag or bucket should not be more than 18 inches above the end of the insertion tube while performing the procedure on caffeine-sensitive persons.
With practice, it gets easier to keep the enema in for the entire fifteen-minute length of time.
In addition, at least one therapeutic organic coffee blend has been designed solely for the purpose of enemas, and it may be obtained at the following link (.
Prepare a quart of the preferred tea according to the package directions and administer it like you would a coffee enema.
Any individual questioning if a coffee or tea enema is a good detoxification procedure for their situation should speak with a health care professional.
In short, it is another another instrument in the detoxification armory that should not be overlooked by anybody who is committed to prevent sickness, regain their health, or otherwise mitigate the negative consequences of living in a toxic environment.

Do not prepare coffee in a coffee machine.
Allow for cooling to body temperature.
Strain the tea through a fine-mesh stainless steel tea strainer (it looks like screen wire) to remove the grounds while retaining the “silt,” which retains many of the beneficial ingredients for detoxification that the tea leaves behind.
Insert the coffee mixture into the rectum with the help of an enema bag. For 15 minutes, lie on your left side with your knees close to your chest and deep breathing. 5. Make a bowel movement. Wishing you the best of health! Dr. Moshe Dekel is a medical doctor.
